Green ant on a Lady Apple

A green ant on a ripe lady apple - this bush food is a member of the lillypilly family and has a similar crisp texture and slightly nutmeggy flavour. The indigenous put them on the fire to make them sweeter. They also make great chutney. The green ant is also edible having a zingy citrussy flavour - avoid the bitey end tho.
