Australian bush food - Monkey nuts or Peanut tree

Monkey nuts are tasty little black seeds in these pretty red pods, the nuts themselves taste a little like peanuts and are good cooked or raw. They range along the top of Australia and and right down the east coast to NSW. They are in season between August and December. Also known as the Red fruited Kurrajong
